In its gardens he tells Vesper he loves her and decides to leave the secret service, while René Mathis, his contact in Montenegro, is taken away as a suspected traitor.

- Boat taxi from the Lenno lakefront, or about 1 km on foot on a steep path from Lenno (the path is not open every day). Lenno is on the C10 bus line from Como.
- Access
- A FAI (Italian National Trust) villa with paid entry, booked in advance; it opens at 10:00 on set days and part of the house is seen by guided tour. From Lenno it is about 1 km uphill on foot, partly on gravel, or a paid taxi boat from the Lido di Lenno; the path is not suited to pushchairs or reduced mobility. Check before you go.
