A real filming location. Ketut Liyer was a real Balinese medicine man who, in the book and the film, reads Liz's palm and predicts she will come back to Bali. When she returns, she spends her days with him in his family compound, copying his old notes and learning to meditate. The crew filmed at his real home; Ketut Liyer died in 2016 and his family still lives here.
