Lupin · Filming location
Étretat, Falaise d'Aval
In the story · Part 1 finale (ch. 5) and Part 2 opening (ch. 6)
Assane Diop, the gentleman thief played by Omar Sy, brings his ex-partner Claire and their son Raoul here for Raoul's birthday and a festival in honour of Arsène Lupin. Raoul goes missing, and the Part 1 finale and the start of Part 2 play out along these white cliffs. In Maurice Leblanc's novels the Aiguille, the rock needle off the cliff, hides Lupin's treasure, and Leblanc's house in town is now the Clos Arsène Lupin museum.
