Christopher Doyle's manic 'Porte de Choisy' sends a hair-product salesman into a Chinese beauty salon in the 13th's Asian quarter, on and around the raised concrete esplanade of Les Olympiades. The 1970s towers named after Olympic cities, the pagoda-roofed shopping centre and the Tang Frères grocers below are still the district's landmarks.
