Hotel Hassler Roma

A real filming location. The hotel front at the top of the Spanish Steps plays the outside of the Hotel Excelsior, the grand hotel where Tom checks in as Dickie Greenleaf and lives on Dickie's money. The lobby and its staircase with the stone lions were filmed at another hotel, the Grand Hotel Plaza on Via del Corso.
