A real filming location, standing in for Sanremo on the Italian Riviera. Tom and Dickie spend a few days in Sanremo, and there the story turns: out at sea in a small rented boat, Tom kills Dickie. The production filmed these scenes in Anzio, at the old pier below the ruins of Emperor Nero's villa, with the Capo d'Anzio lighthouse in view.
