In Part II the Cuban dictator Batista gives a New Year's Eve party at his palace in Havana and announces he is leaving the country as the rebels win. At that party Michael kisses his brother Fredo and tells him he knows Fredo betrayed him. The Dominican presidential palace was used for these scenes: a real filming location, standing in for Havana.
