Motta Camastra

In the story · The Godfather (Michael's exile); The Godfather Part II (young Vito in hiding)

A small village on a ridge above the Alcantara valley. In the first film Michael walks its lanes with his two bodyguards during his exile, and in Part II the boy Vito hides here from the men of Don Ciccio, the local boss who has killed his family, before he escapes to America. A real filming location, standing in for the Corleone countryside.
