Pont Alexandre III

Ratatouille · Real place that inspired the film

Pont Alexandre III

In the story · Cityscape: Remy's walk across the bridge (per French Morning)

Among the real Paris bridges the animators reproduced with care, this gilded Belle Époque span is one Remy crosses on his wanderings, its winged horses and lamp standards rendered almost photographically. The view from its deck to the Invalides dome is the one the film borrows.

Where to stand for the photo

From the north end by the Grand Palais, shoot down the deck so the candelabra lamps lead to the gold dome of the Invalides.
