The Da Vinci Code · Linked to the story, not a filming location
Palais-Royal (Arago medallions)
In the story · Book ending: the Rose Line walk (not filmed here)
At the end of the story Langdon follows the 'Rose Line' to the Louvre. It is really the old Paris meridian, which the artist Jan Dibbets marked across the city with 135 small brass Arago medallions set into the ground, and a few of them are here in the Palais-Royal. In the book Langdon's walk passes these gardens; the film shortens it, and no location guide shows it was filmed here.

Look down: each medallion is a brass disc about 12 cm across marked ARAGO, with N and S. Find one, then frame it at your feet with the garden's rows of lime trees behind.
